Where Ken has been.

Ken Skinner has re-emerged with desire and passion that has manifest itself in other artforms. His attentions have turned to writing and he has been published many times since his last jazz recordings.

He is currently working on a series of short stories encompassing his time growing up in Montreal as well as other vignettes of a brown kid in Canada. He has also been painting in oil and acrylic while looking at playing music other than jazz without having to give it up altogether.  "Music's a powerful thing, you never know where it can take you".

In that time there was a release through Jaymz Bee and Jazz.fm plus a stint with the Cartoon Network included on this site not to mention a few stabs at standup comedy.  Undaunted, Ken continues to follow his own spirit and we can expect the unexpected from him always.

Winestone

Ken is teaming up with stellar award winning vocalist ROSITA STONE to bring an Amy Winehouse celebration that is second to none.  ROSITA looks the part and at times you may catch yourself thinking Amy's in the room.  The love these two have for Amy's music is obvious in their delivery of her classic recordings, not to mention the bonus material you might not expect!

Ken and Rosita of course have a wide and varied repetoire, yet this show is always a winner. Click on the image of Rosita for a sample of her performing as Amy.
